Experimental Negative Resist

This piece is fully traditional hand dug clay, hand built, and open ground pitfired using the ancient negative smoke resist technique where the smoke paints the pot in the negative space around your resist painting. This is one of my first experimental attempts to perfect this technique but it turned out beautiful.
